In Ruto’s Government, Police will have tea on their homes instead of taking bribes on roads – Rigathi
Mathira member of parliament Hon. Rigathi Gachagua in a campaign tour has emphasized on bottom-up economic model. He has said the government to be formed by Hon. William Ruto is the government that will take care of the people on the bottom of the economic pyramid. Gachagua said “Youths will be assisted even them to get what belongs to them. There was a meeting at Safari Park hotel, the rich were talking about how they will protect their wealth. We want when William Ruto forms the next government, youths to be having meetings planning how they will also be getting wealth”.
Hon. Gachagua spoke at Ngara, Nairobi when he accompanied Deputy President William Ruto during his campaign trail. He also talked about Matatu industry where he said they are being harassed by the NTSA by asking bribes. Gachagua said when Ruto’s government takes from President Uhuru, they want police to be taking tea from their homes instead of taking tea on the roads(taking bribes).
Rigathi Gachagua also took a swipe on boda boda operation that took place in the recent days. He urged the government to stop harassing the boda boda operators and leave them to fend themselves and look for food. Rigathi said that the money that is being asked from these boda boda operators as fine is money they are accumulating to use during their campaigns. Boda boda operators were impounded and fine Ksh. 35,000 by the court.
