Terryanne Chebet narrates how her career began
Terryanne Chebet is a communication expert, media personality, entrepreneur, founder of Keyara botanicals and founder at Pick Foundry Communications. She has worked in big and prestigious TV and radio stations. She took a glimpse of how her career started and the first day at work. Chebet started as an intern in Metro FM, a local radio station her first ever being a host of morning news. On her official Instagram page, she flashed back that day on a lengthy post with a picture captured in a radio station.
Terryanne Chebet said “My first gig ever was hosting the morning news at Metro Fm way, waaaay way back in the day. I say gig because I was still interning and one of the producers who mentored us proposed my name to the head of Metro FM at the time that I was a likely candidate for Radio. I only read the news on weekends and left the house at 4.00am. I loved it so much that waking up wasn’t a problem at all. It was for me the beginning of my career, one that I’ve loved through the years and with every shift in technology.
Tony Msalame @sowairina ‘s dad hosted his Saturday show (Sheky Leggy) when I was in studio insisted I should try TV news, and he proceeded to tell the TV team about the little radio girl who no one knew. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 may his soul RIP Nostalgia, and life really has a beautiful way of coming full circle! As an agency, creating podcasts for our Clients leaves me nostalgic of those early years in radio. I thank God for the opportunity to still do the things I love, and because of that I really do enjoy my job. ❤
