What’s cooking in Dubai? President Uhuru and his team meets Raila Odinga and Moses Kuria
President Uhuru attended the Kenya-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states business forum on the first day of his working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He is at UAE for 3-days tour visit. The delegates who has accompanied the President includes CS for Agriculture Peter Munya, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, Sports CS Amina Mohamed, Tourism CS Najib Balala among other dignitaries. Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Richard Ngatia is in attendance. Moses Kuria who has been in Dubai for his treatment is seen attending the Kenya-Gulf Cooperation(GCC).

Hon. Raila Odinga travelled last week to Dubai to take his daughter Winnie Odinga for medical treatment and today he is seen heading to the conference which President Kenyatta attended. Moses Kuria is yet to hold his thanksgiving rally in Thika on 19th Saturday and has invited several senior governments including the Deputy President William Ruto. Last week DP Ruto travelled to Dubai and he managed to visit Moses Kuria in hospital.

All the senior government officials meeting in Dubai has raised eyebrows among Kenyans. They are left mouths open as to what could be cooking in the “Coincidental” meeting. Hon Moses Kuria is raising more eyebrows among Kenyans as to whether he is defecting to Azimio la umoja political vehicle. Moses Kuria is a close friend of Hon William Ruto of UDA though he has his own party “Chama cha Kazi” but works under UDA principles. He has a thanksgiving service at Thika stadium on 19th Saturday after recovering from his illness. He has been bedridden for 3 months and recently walk out of bed. He is coming back home and has invited several guests.

His coming back home and meeting “Azimio la umoja” with President Uhuru’s team has disturbed Kenyans on the ultimate objective of that. Is he planning to join Uhuru Kenyatta’s side and ditch William Ruto? Those are part of the questions Kenyans are left asking themselves. As a matter of fact meeting in Dubai is not coincidental, it is well scripted and has an objective behind it. President Uhuru Kenyatta plans to endorse and campaign for Raila Odinga as part of his succession politics.

The President vowed not to leave leadership to his deputy Hon. William Ruto due to their fallout. With the interest of unfolding events, Kenyans are waiting for Saturday event at Thika stadium to see what will Moses Kuria say and lean towards which political pact. Kenyans are also eager to know the outcome of the meeting in Dubai.
